Should You Straighten Your Curly Hair to Cut It?

The answer is no. Cutting curly hair while straight doesn't make any sense as it is nearly impossible to tell how the hair will curl back once cut. If you aren't going to make it a habit to wear your hair straight then do yourself a favor and have it cut while curly by someone who knows how to cut curly hair. In addition to cutting while curly, the hair should also be dry. Again, you don't want your curly hair in an altered state where it can't be determined how the curls are formed.
